Dulquer Salman Approaches Kerala High Court Over Luxury Car Seizure

Popular Malayalam actor Dulquer Salman has filed a petition in the Kerala High Court challenging the seizure of his luxury Land Rover by customs authorities. The actor alleged that the vehicle was wrongfully confiscated despite being legally purchased from a reputed company. Dulquer maintained that all necessary documents, including customs clearance and invoices, were in order, and claimed that the authorities acted unilaterally in seizing the car, violating his rights.

During the hearing, the court considered Dulquer’s arguments and subsequently issued notices to the Customs Department, directing them to submit their response. The next hearing has been scheduled for the following week.

The seizure was reportedly part of ‘Operation Namkhor’, a recent Customs initiative targeting the illegal import of luxury vehicles with forged documents from Bhutan. As part of the operation, raids were conducted at the residences of several film personalities, including Dulquer Salman and Prithviraj Sukumaran, resulting in the confiscation of 36 luxury cars.

Dulquer Salman, son of Malayalam megastar Mammootty, has established a pan-Indian presence with successful films in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. The actor’s legal battle over the seized vehicle has drawn widespread media attention, with public interest focused on the upcoming court proceedings.
