BRS Working President KT Rama Rao has called for the struggle not to stop until the evildoer who removed Bathukamma from the hands of Telangana Thalli is driven out and Bathukamma is returned to the hands of Telangana Thalli. He urged that this spirit should be continued until KCR is made the CM again.
Bathukamma celebrations were held grandly at Hyderabad People’s Plaza on Wednesday under the auspices of BRS. KTR announced that after BRS comes to power, People’s Plaza will be converted into Bathukamma Plaza. He said that KCR had made it a point to proudly display our language and culture in front of everyone during the Telangana movement.
“We achieved Telangana state with the intention of celebrating Bathukamma festival grandly, whether the child of Telangana is in Dubbak, Dubai, Warasiguda, Washington, Ameerpet, Khairatabad or Qatar,” he said. He recalled that hundreds of people sacrificed their lives during the movement and Telangana was achieved with the struggle of the people under the leadership of KCR.
KTR reminded that before the formation of Telangana state, there was a situation where not a single song was heard in the Telangana language or dialect. He said that our songs are being heard in Telangana. He said that looking at the arranged Thangedupoolas, each and every one of them seemed to be smiling.
Women from across the city gathered in large numbers for the Bathukamma festival organized by BRS. They arranged Bathukammas with a handful of flowers, played and sang and had a great time. KCR took steps to become the CM again. Ramakka, Aur Ek Dhakka..KCR had an exciting time singing along to the songs of Pukka.
The tank band was filled with excitement with the songs of Bathukamma. Former Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav entertained the audience by performing steps. He said that we should move forward to protect our language and culture in a brighter future. He praised the girls for performing steps with enthusiasm to the songs of Ramakka and Dekhenge. Later, KTR unveiled a CD of Bathukamma songs written in memory of Kaloji under the auspices of MLC Deshpathi Srinivas.
