CM Chandrababu says Technology Alone Has potential To Bring Governance closer To people

Stating that digital transformation is the most important aspect of governance, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that technology alone has the potential to bring governance closer to the people. He was addressing the 28th National E-Governance Conference being held in Visakhapatnam for two days under the auspices of the Union Ministry of IT and Information Technology with the theme of Civil Services – Digital Transformation.

The Chief Minister clarified that technologies like artificial intelligence and cyber security are crucial for more efficient management of civil services provided by government departments. He said that changes have been made in governance with the IT and e-governance aspects being followed by the central and state governments. He clarified that revolutionary changes have also taken place in public life through communication reforms.

CM Chandrababu clarified that cyber security is also very crucial while implementing these systems. Stating that we are able to provide the wide benefits that have come with IT, he said that we are implementing Mana Mitra WhatsApp Governance to take this process further.

The Chief Minister that a total of 751 public services have been provided to citizens through WhatsApp, bringing governance to their mobile phones. On the other hand, he said that competition with neighboring states has also increased due to technology. He revealed that Quantum Valley is being set up in Andhra Pradesh in collaboration with IBM, TCS, and L&T.

He suggested that there is a possibility of governments, education, and medical institutions using quantum computer services. The CM said that an ecosystem is being set up here with Quantum Valley. The Chief Minister explained that quantum computer and equipment manufacturing companies have also come forward with investments.

CM Chandrababu said that in terms of technology, services, jobs, production, and other sectors are also changing rapidly and the next 10 years are very crucial for our country. The Chief Minister revealed that the Sanjeevani project has been undertaken in AP to connect medical services with technology.

Stating that they are developing digital health records in collaboration with the Bill Gates Foundation, he said that there is a possibility of implementing this system for the entire country soon. He said that another key aspect of technology should be focused on the semiconductor industry.

The CM thanked the Prime Minister for allocating a semiconductor industry to AP. The CM said that in the near future, AP will also become a major partner in national development through space, drone, electronic city and medtech parks.
