Jaya Prakash Narayan’s Lok Sabha Among 25 political parties Election Commission cancels Registration In Telugu states,

The Central Election Commission (ECI) has canceled registration of the Lok Satta Party, which was founded by former IAS officer and former MLA Dr. Jayaprakash Narayan, who once played a key role in the politics of Telugu states. The ECI canceled its registration in Telangana.

The action was taken as part of the Easy purge of political parties that are not active and unproductive in the country. The Central Election Commission has recently canceled the registration of 474 parties across the country. Of these, there are 17 parties belonging to AP and 8 of Telangana.

The EC has taken this tough decision on the reasons for not contesting any elections for the past six years, the party’s office address and financial transactions are not visible. The list of parties in Telangana, along with the Lok Satta include the Allindia Azad Party, the BC India Party and the Navbharat National Party.

JP founded the Lok Satta Party in 2006 with the aim of bringing reforms in politics. In 2009, he won the Kukatpally constituency as an MLA. However, JP, who is away from direct politics after 2014, is currently mostly visible in the debate.

The Election Commission has been pursuing this cleansing process for some time. Last August, 334 parties were removed from the list. The registration of 808 parties has been canceled in just two months. The EC has signaled that another 359 parties will be fired soon. There will be 8 of them from AP and 10 of Telangana. Election Commission officials have made it clear that these measures are being taken to increase transparency in the election process.

Political parties from Telangana: All India Azad Party, All India BC, OBC Party, BC Bharatha Desam Party, Bharat Labor Praja Party, Lok Satta Party, Mahajana Mandali Party, Navbharat National Party, Telangana Pragati Samiti.

Parties who canceled the EC from AP: Bharateeya Chaitanya Party, Jai Samaikyandhra Party, Rayalaseema Parirakshana Samithi, All India Liberal Party, Bharath Praja Spandana Party, Praja Palana Party, Samaikya Telugu Rajyam Party, Rayalaseema Congress Party, Political Essential and Actorate Council of Experts.
