Story:
Alekya (Nilakhi Patra) is a college student whose father, Narayana (Naresh), is a cab driver. Dotting on his daughter, he often goes above his means to make her happy. When Alekya asks for a scooter like her friend’s, Narayana promises to buy one once she learns to ride it.
In the process, she meets Arjun (Ankith Koyya), who helps her learn to ride, and their frequent interactions soon turn into love.
One day, while Alekya is on a video call with Arjun, her mother (Vasuki) interrupts. Before they can react, the neighbors catch them red-handed. Fearing her mother’s anger, Alekya insists on leaving with Arjun. Despite his hesitations, they run away to Hyderabad.
In the meantime, Narayana became aware of the incident and he also travels to Hyderabad looking for his daughter. Eventually the Hyderabad police catch Alekya and Arjun, and bring them to the police station.
Why were they taken by the police? Did Narayana find Alekya? What happens to their love story? The answers await on the big screen.
Review:
Nilakhi Patra makes a striking Telugu debut as Alekhya, a teenage girl navigating the journey of growing up. Her expressive performance and natural charm leave a strong impression, even in a few sequences that add depth to her character.
Ankith Koyya, in his first lead role, delivers a commendable performance, capturing the different shades of his character well, and his climax portions are the best of the lot.
Naresh is wonderful as an affectionate father, providing honest emotion appealing to younger audiences, and mothers and fathers alike. Vasuki Anand complements well, while Nitin Prasanna, Murali Goud, and Prasad Behara give good supporting performance.
The movie picks up slowly but gathers speed before the interval, with suspenseful turns keeping the audience hooked. The second half, however, slackens at moments, and some of Alekhya’s childish ways may try audience patience. However, the final half-hour delivers a strong emotional impact. A bold scene or two may feel slightly uncomfortable for family audiences, but the younger viewers will connect well with the story.
The music by Vijay Bulganin stands out, while Sri Sai Kumar’s cinematography captures visually appealing frames. Production values meet the film’s requirements, and the story by R.V. Subrahmanyam has depth. Director J.S.S. Vardhan handles key sequences effectively, although the overall narrative pacing could have been tighter.
Overall Beauty is a watchable film with strong performances, moving father–daughter moments, and an emotionally satisfying climax. Despite minor pacing issues and some uneven storytelling, it remains a heartfelt entertainer that connects with both youth and family audiences.
