Rajnath Singh says conspiracies To Damage National Integrity should Be Thwarted

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that conspiracies to damage national integrity should be thwarted. Rajnath, who participated as the chief guest in the Telangana Liberation Day organized by the Central Government at the Secunderabad Parade Ground, unfurled the national flag. He said that the Hyderabad State was merged with India due to the efforts of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and PM Modi is working to build the country that Patel dreamed of.

The Central Government has officially celebrated September 17, the date of the merger of the Hyderabad State with India, as Telangana Liberation Day, under the auspices of the Union Ministry of Tourism and Culture. First, Rajnath Singh paid tributes at the Amar Jawala Smriti Sthal on the Parade Ground. He also paid homage to the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and received the honor of the security forces.

Rajnath Singh recalled that the Razakars committed many atrocities during the Nizam’s rule and the people revolted because they could not tolerate their actions. He said that Sardar Patel acted with great foresight with Operation Polo and that Modi is working to build the country that Patel dreamed of.

Another Union Minister Gajendra Shekhawat said that the Center is officially celebrating Liberation Day on the orders of Prime Minister Modi and said that the Center recognizes and respects those who fought for the liberation of Telangana.

 Union Minister Kishan Reddy asked why the national flag was not hoisted on September 17, when Telangana gained independence. He accused the Congress and BRS of changing their names and organizing celebrations.

 Union Minister of State Bandi Sanjay accused the state rulers of not officially organizing the celebrations for vote bank politics and to satisfy a section. He made it clear that once the BJP comes to power in the state, the national flag will be hoisted in every street. Earlier, Rajnath Singh witnessed a photo exhibition depicting the events and circumstances leading to Operation Polo.

The Photo Exhibition, comprising nearly 50 panels on historic events and freedom fighters who led the struggle for liberation, was the major attraction of the Hyderabad Liberation Day 2025 celebrations organised by the Government of India. The exhibition has been put up by the Central Bureau of Communication, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture.
