The TTD Trust Board has decided to build 1000 temples in Dalit colonies, at least six temples in each assembly constituency. After the Board meeting on Tuesday, TTD Chairman BR Naidu, along with TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal told the media that the funds of Srivani Trust will be used for the construction of these temples and that they are moving forward with the aim of preventing religious conversions.
Naidu revealed that extensive arrangements are being made for the Tirumala Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavam. Ankurarpana will be held on the 23rd of this month and the flag hoisting will be held on the 24th at Meenalagnam. He explained that the festivities will continue from the 24th to October 2.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and his wife will offer silk robes to the Lord on the 24th and the Chief Minister will inaugurate PAC-5 Venkatadri Nilayam on September 25th. Similarly, he said that calendars and diaries for the year 2026 will be unveiled.
He said that special measures will be taken to regulate the crowd of devotees during Brahmotsavams, especially on the day of Garuda Seva. He said that additional CCTV cameras are being installed in crowded areas of Tirumala and a geo-tagging system is being implemented so that small children do not get lost during Brahmotsavams.
The chairman said that a Mumbai-based company will come forward to film Brahmotsavams and provide this service free of cost. He also said that regularization measures will be taken by taking satellite pictures from time to time on the crowd of devotees. It was revealed that ISRO is going to observe Brahmotsavam for the first time.
This year, steps have been taken to calculate the number of devotees based on satellites with the help of ISRO for Brahmotsavam. It was stated that VIP break darshans on recommendation letters are being canceled for 10 days in the backdrop of Brahmotsavam.
Special darshans for the disabled, elderly, NRIs and parents of young children have also been canceled from 23rd of this month to October 2nd, and break darshans have been limited to protocol dignitaries only. About 8 lakh laddus are being made available every day. On the occasion of Garuda Seva on 28th of this month, two-wheeler traffic to Tirumala is being canceled from 9 pm on 27th to 6 pm on 29th.
Similarly, the Alipiri and Srivari Mettu walkways will remain open throughout the day on the 28th. Meanwhile, Naidu revealed that a decision has been taken to register criminal cases against those who make baseless allegations against TTD. He warned that action will be taken to send anyone who tries to tarnish the reputation of TTD to jail.
