Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced at the Collectors’ Conference that a logistics corporation will be established for the efficient management of ports, airports and roads. He made it clear that the government’s policies will continue in medical colleges under the PPP model. He warned that if projects are deliberately blocked, they will not be tolerated.
He advised the collectors that better job and employment opportunities will be available with the integration of the education and industrial sectors. He directed that major and minor irrigation projects and tanks should be filled with 100 percent water. He said that the logistics sector is a very crucial aspect in the development of the state.
The Chief Minister said that there is a need to increase the connectivity of rural areas. He directed that national highway projects worth Rs 1.04 lakh crore in AP should be completed quickly. He advised the officials to think about how to connect Panchayat Raj roads to R&B roads and national highways. He suggested that the construction of internal roads should be reduced and shifted to main roads.
CM Chandrababu directed the speedy completion of projects worth Rs 1.02 lakh crore related to railways. He revealed that ports and fishing harbors are being built every 50 kilometers in the state. The CM said that airports are being developed on a hub and spoke basis and made it clear that the collectors should not compromise on logistics.
He suggested that the collectors should make plans to undertake PPP projects worth Rs 3 lakh crore in the future. He said that due to the water security measures taken in AP, the last ayacut lands were irrigated this year, which was satisfactory. He said that water will be provided as per the plan for Rabi.
He explained that tenders should be called for new works of Jala Jeevan Mission and that the works should be carried out based on the amount sanctioned by the Center. He revealed that the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub was set up to work together between students and the industrial sector. He suggested that the collectors should try to create jobs through job fairs in the districts from time to time.
