Aishwarya Lakshmi Announces Permanent Exit From Social Media

Popular actress Aishwarya Lakshmi, celebrated for her string of successful films, has announced her permanent departure from social media, citing concerns over her mental well-being and professional focus. Sharing an emotional note online, she stated that social media had increasingly become a source of distraction and intrusion into her personal thoughts, impacting both her peace of mind and her career.

The actress explained that while she initially considered social media essential for establishing her presence in cinema, it ended up creating stress and unrealistic expectations. “Even small joys became sources of distress. Living according to online imaginations and expectations has been extremely difficult,” she said, emphasizing the emotional toll of constant digital scrutiny on women.

Aishwarya added that the decision is aimed at preserving her authenticity and nurturing her craft. “I am aware that those without social media risk being forgotten, but I am ready for that challenge. This step will help me protect my artistry and focus on delivering remarkable performances,” she said. The actress, who gained recognition with Maman and is currently engaged with projects like Gatta Kusthi-2 and Sambarala Aetigattu, joins other contemporary stars, including Anushka Shetty, in stepping back from digital platforms, highlighting the growing pressures social media places on film personalities.
