YSRCP leader and former MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, who is being dragged to court every time he is taken to court in the liquor scam case, has set up a total of 8 shell companies to convert the bribed assets into white. In each of them, a total of 16 benami directors were appointed as directors. All of them were set up at the same time and with the same address.
All these shell companies were set up with addresses of door numbers 1-27, 1-34, 1-3/A in Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy’s hometown Thummalagunta. They were registered on April 7 and 12, 2021. When SIT officials went there recently, they did not actually exist. They existed only on paper.
It turned out that all the directors of the companies were Bhaskara Reddy’s drivers, PAs, family members and close relatives. When SIT officials went to those addresses and checked, none of them were there. When they tried to contact them on their phones, everyone switched off and fled. The SIT suspects that Chevireddy sent them all.
Chevireddy PA Naveen Krishna is the director of one of these shell companies, Naveen Infra. Naveen Krishna, who is the 36th accused in the liquor scam case, is currently a remand prisoner in Guntur Jail. He played a major role in moving the liquor bribe money from Hyderabad to Vijayawada, Chittoor and Tirupati.
Chevireddy’s close friend Bevan Reddy and Bevan Reddy’s mother Nageswari were shown as directors of Bevan Services, one of the 8 shell companies. Chevireddy’s nephew Kurra Munishankar Reddy and maternal uncle A. Jaswanth established Kurra Dairy Services. Vinay Infra was established with his followers Vinay Kumar and Hemanth as directors.
Chevireddy’s driver Harish and follower Maheshwar Reddy established Harish Services in the name of Harish. Chevireddy’s brother Jitendra and Jitendra’s mother Kumari established another company called Jitendra Infra with Chevireddy’s brother Lokesh Reddy and his wife Shobha Rani as directors.
Chevireddy’s neighbor Lokesh Reddy and his wife Shobha Rani created Shobha Developers as directors. Chevireddy’s close relatives BK Latha and Maradalu Sunanda established Latha Agro Services as directors. Chevireddy PA Naveen and T. Sirisha established Naveen Infra.
