CM Revanth Reddy Asks To Examine Again Hyd- Chennai, Hyd- Bangalore High-speed Bullet Train projects

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has instructed the railway officials to once again examine the survey and alignment proposals of the Hyderabad-Chennai and Hyderabad-Bangalore high-speed bullet train projects in line with the newly developed greenfield highway proposals. He clarified that the state government will provide full support and cooperation for the speedy completion of the pending railway projects and lines in Telangana.

He said that the state government is ready to provide the necessary funds and acquire the land. He suggested that the alignment of the projects should be in line with future needs, reducing the distance burden and reducing the estimated cost.

Revanth Reddy held a review meeting with the railway and state officials at the Hyderabad Command Control Center on Thursday on the pending railway projects in Telangana and the projects to be undertaken in line with future needs. He explained several projects including the special railway line that will help in industrial progress in the state.

The Chief Minister said that all the newly laid railway lines should be useful for the all-round development of the respective regions by providing fast transport facilities to the passengers. He said that the tourist centers and industrial needs should be kept in mind. Rail, road and port connectivity should be developed in a modern way on the lines of foreign countries.

CM Revanth Reddy said that a railway line should be established as a connection along with a green field highway from Bharat Future City to Bandar Port via Amaravati. He said that the Center has to implement the rapid rail and road connectivity project from Hyderabad to Amaravati as per the promise in the State Reorganization Act.

He said that the Center has been requested to establish a 12-lane green field highway from Bharat Future City, which is being newly developed by the government, to Bandar via Amaravati, and the government has also prepared 300-kilometer alignment proposals in this regard. He said that there are proposals to have a railway line along the highway and to expand the industrial corridor to a distance of one and a half kilometers on both sides of the highway.
