AP Assembly Monsoon sessions Begins From Sep 18th

The monsoon sessions of the AP Assembly will begin from the 18th of this month. Governor Justice Abdul Nazeer has issued a notification to this effect. The Legislative Assembly will begin at 9 am on the 18th of this month, while the Legislative Council will begin at 10 am on the same day. Both the houses will hold separate BAC meetings to decide how many days the sessions will be held.

Various bills and amendments to the law have already been approved in the cabinet meetings to be passed in the assembly sessions. The government intends to bring a law to take strict action against those who post false posts on social media. Accordingly, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has also formed a cabinet sub-committee to draft rules. Will this law be brought in these meetings? Or not? We have to wait and see.

Meanwhile, Speaker Ayyannapatrudu advised Pulivendula MLA Jaganmohan Reddy and YSRCP MLAs to come to the assembly and discuss public issues. He said that if they come to the assembly, equal opportunities will be given to all members. CM Chandrababu Naidu has also challenged the YSRCP members who are making false allegations against the government to come to the Assembly and discuss any issue and reveal the facts.

Will the YSRCP, which says it will come to the Assembly only if it is given opposition status, stick to the same argument? Or will it come to the Assembly? Only the Council Chairman, Speaker, Deputy Speaker, CM and Deputy CMs will be allowed from Gate 1 of the Assembly. Only ministers will be allowed from Gate 2. Only MLAs and MLCs will be allowed from Gate 4.

No one else is allowed in the corridor where the Council Chairman, Speaker and CMs come and go. No security personnel are allowed except for the gun point at Gate 4. PAs of ministers and members will be allowed only as needed. Staff of government departments not related to the affairs of the Legislative Assembly are not allowed to enter the premises.

No member should enter the Legislative Assembly or Council with weapons. Even if they do, they should deposit them in the Bell of Arms located in the Assembly premises. No weapons, batons, placards, whistles, etc. will be allowed into the Vidhan Parishad premises.
