Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced that Amaravati will be made a great city in the world and that Visakhapatnam and Tirupati will be developed as megacities along with Amaravati. He said that garbage will be completely eliminated from all the municipal corporations in the state by October 2.
He said that if we want Swarna Andhra, the mindset of the people should first change, saying that diseases are increasing due to garbage being thrown on the roads and in front of the houses. He visited Peddapuram in Kakinada district on Saturday. He participated in the Swarna Andhra-Swachhandhra rally organized in Peddapuram town.
He was furious that the previous YSRCP government had imposed a tax on garbage, but left the garbage without removing it. He announced that the state would be made 100% clean and wealth would be created from garbage, electricity would be generated from the garbage collected in the district. To this end, he instructed the officials to complete the waste management project with Rs. 330 crores.
He said that Super Six schemes are being implemented. He explained the implementation of schemes like NTR Bharosa, Annadata Sukhibhava, Thalliki Vandanam, and free electricity for weavers. He recently successfully launched the free bus scheme for women. He said that he was the one who introduced the Deepam scheme and provided cooking gas.
CM Chandrababu said that steps were taken to eradicate poverty through P-4. He said that Rs. 12,000d crores have been sanctioned from the Center for Visakhapatnam Steel and that efforts are being made to bring a railway zone to Visakhapatnam. He expressed his anger that the YSRCP is spreading a poisonous propaganda that the state capital Amaravati is sinking.
The Chief Minister cautioned that the state will have a future only if the YSRCP ghost is completely buried. He criticized Jaganmohan Reddy for not caring even when his own worker died after falling under a car, for spreading false propaganda against him in the Vivekananda Reddy’s murder incident and for gaining political benefits, and for playing the Kodi Kathi drama and promoting it as if he had done it himself.
