Former IAS Vijay Kumar has filed a petition in the AP High Court against Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, alleging that the Jana Sena chief used government funds for the promotion of the recent movie Harihara Veeramallu. In his petition, he urged the High Court directing a CBI probe into it.
The High Court heard this petition on Monday and directed the registry to include the names of the CBI and ACB lawyers in the case’s hearing list. The hearing was adjourned for a week. The petitioner’s lawyer requested that notices be given to the minor defendants. However, the court made it clear that notices cannot be given at this stage. The High Court informed that appropriate orders will be given after the preliminary hearing on this petition.
Justice Venkata Jyotirmayi gave orders to this extent. In this petition, the petitioner alleges that government funds were misused for the promotion of the movie Harihara Veeramallu. He wants a CBI inquiry into this. Let’s see how the AP High Court responds to this petition. Moreover, recently, a controversy has also erupted over the car in which Harihara Veeramallu movie heroine Nidhi Agarwal traveled.
Nidhi Agarwal came to an event in Bhimavaram in an AP government vehicle. After this video went viral, she gave an explanation. She said that she traveled in the vehicle arranged by the organizers. She responded after videos related to this incident went viral on social media. She said that she was not aware of the vehicle with the AP government board.
“I went to the inauguration of a store in Bhimavaram. The organizers of that event arranged a vehicle for me. I have nothing to do with arranging that vehicle. It is not correct to say that government officials sent a vehicle for me. No government officials specially arranged any vehicle for me. It is my responsibility to state the facts in this matter,” said Nidhi Agarwal.
