The consistent problem with Rajagopal Reddy has become a significant issue for the Congress party. Even after his consistent criticism of the Chief Minister and the party, the Disciplinary Committee has taken no action so far. Rajagopal Reddy keeps making instigating and harmful comments without any disciplinary action against him. In a recent meeting under the chairmanship of Mallu Ravi, it was disclosed that there had not been any proper complaints lodged against him, which has left him even more confident.
In his latest action, Rajagopal Reddy openly targeted Revanth Reddy, asking if he has several posts and profited financially from them. This fiery attack has created alarm in the party with people wondering how the leadership is going to handle the issue. The ball is now in the PCC Chief’s court.
Although the TPCC Chief might know Rajagopal Reddy’s motive, so far no action has been taken. In spite of Rajagopal’s tirades against Revanth Reddy, his own brother appears helpless in curbing him. Rajagopal has gone to the extent of making a public declaration of support for Revanth, even going on to perform prayers for him. Revanth has, however, done nothing to Rajagopal. Meenakshi Natarajan, the Congress in-charge of the state, has also been criticized for not issuing any warning or taking action against Rajagopal.
If this situation is allowed to persist, there are growing concerns that Rajagopal’s behavior could escalate, leading to further harm to the party’s image. Revanth’s loyalists are more and more concerned that the persistent row may weaken the Congress party’s solidarity and its chances in the coming political struggles. The party now needs to decide what course of action to take regarding this internal conflict so that it does not get out of hand.
