Dr Sunitha seeks MLAs, MPs support To Reopen probe Into Vivekananda Reddy’s Murder

Dr Sunitha has sought to reopen the murder case of her father and former minister Dr YS Vivekananda Reddy, who was brutally killed in Pulivendula, six years ago. She has written a letter to the legislators to this effect. She alleged that former chief minister Jaganmohan Reddy knew about her father’s death before the outside world knew about it.

She recalled in the letter that the CBI had informed the Telangana High Court about this matter. But Sunitha lamented that the investigation was stopped midway without investigating from that angle. She stated that six years have passed since the murder. She expressed her grief that while Viveka’s daughter is fighting for justice, her father’s soul is suffering.

That is why she made it clear in the letter that she is requesting public representatives for justice. She urged the legislators to put pressure on the CBI to reopen and complete the investigation into the murder case of YS Vivekananda Reddy.

She recalled that the CBI had previously told the High Court the analysis of phone call data records revealed that Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy, the key accused in the murder, was in constant contact with those involved in the murder.

Sunitha expressed her anger that the investigation was declared over without determining who the real conspirators behind the murder were. In this context, she wrote an open letter to all MPs, MLAs, MLCs of Andhra Pradesh, and various political parties in the country on Sunday, demanding that the CBI restart the investigation. She asked them to stand by her fight for justice.

In the letter, Sunitha explained that she was seeking support as a sister on the occasion of Rakhi Pournami. She said in the letter that she has been fighting for the punishment of the conspirators in her father’s murder case for six years and knocked on every door in this process. She expressed her grief that she had been subjected to many types of harassment in this process and that false cases had been filed against her.

Dr Sunitha deplored in the letter that the YSRCP government formed with the support and help of her father had harassed her severely. She criticized that a situation has arisen where criminals have hijacked public property. She clarified that those involved in Viveka’s murder have been caught, but they have not gone to the conspirators. That is why she has requested support in this struggle.
