Congress clueless on How To Deal with Rebel MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy

Congress party seems to be clueless on how to deal with rebel MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, who became impatient after he was denied cabinet berth in the recent expansion and made aggressive remarks against the party leadership, particularly targeting Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.

He made sensational allegations that there are 20 Andhra investors behind the Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and they are all looting the wealth of Telangana. He warned that he will soon expose their hideout. He also severely criticized Revanth Reddy’s performance and attitude.

“CM Revanth Reddy should change his language.. Stop cursing the opposition. He should say what the government is doing. Seemandhra contractors are looting Telangana. The high command has promised me a ministerial post. Congress came to power only when everyone came together”, he said.

“CM Revanth should change his language and gestures. He should not talk for hours and show that attention to work. Anger does not work, he should work with a cool mind,” he added. These comments made by Rajagopal Reddy have once again exposed the internal differences in the Congress party.

Rajagopal Reddy said that the high command has assured him about the ministerial post. The comments made by Rajagopal Reddy for the past few days have become controversial. Reports have been sent to the party high command regarding Rajagopal Reddy’s comments targeting CM Revanth.

However, either Chief Minister or TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud attempted to pacify him or refute his accusations. Even the TPCC  Disciplinary Committee chief Mallu Ravi made efforts to pacify him rather than initiate action. Surprisingly, State Congress affairs in charge Meenakshi Natarajan also kep  a low profile with the attitude of Rajagopal Reddy.

Congress sources believe that the MLA’s comments are damaging the government and the Congress. However, unable to question him why he is speaking in a way that tarnishes the party’s image. Many dissidents within the Telangana Congress are waiting to see how the party high-command responds to his rebel attitude before they too open their mouths.
