The ongoing uncertainty surrounding the proposed wage hike for Tollywood film workers has prompted a series of high-level discussions within the industry. On Wednesday, several producers met actor Balakrishna at Prasad Preview Theatre to address the latest developments.
Producer Prasanna Kumar, speaking to the media after the meeting, said, “Balakrishna has always stressed the importance of safeguarding producers’ interests. He reiterated that minimizing working days and hiring workers based on necessity would be beneficial. He assured that he would ensure the well-being of both producers and workers. Considering theater-related challenges, he committed to acting in four films annually and pledged his efforts toward resolving the issue.”
This meeting followed a similar discussion on Tuesday, when several producers met actor Chiranjeevi. Producer C. Kalyan revealed that Chiranjeevi urged the Film Federation and Film Chamber to engage in constructive dialogue, adding that he would step in personally if the matter remains unresolved.
