Chandrababu Outlines Four-Pillar Governance Model, Sets Targets for State Growth

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has stressed that effective governance must be built on four pillars—People, Vision, Nature, and Technology—to deliver optimal results. Chairing a high-level review meeting at the Secretariat on the state’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) and key performance indicators, Chandrababu directed officials to design policies aimed at improving citizens’ quality of life.

The Chief Minister announced that starting August 15, around 700 government services will be made available online to enhance transparency and efficiency. Setting economic targets, he said the state’s per capita income should reach ₹5.42 lakh by 2029, with an interim target of ₹3,47,871 for FY 2025–26.

Chandrababu instructed all departments to define measurable performance indicators, with the Planning Department playing a role similar to NITI Aayog in driving progress. Emphasizing value addition in agriculture and mining sectors, he noted that horticulture currently contributes ₹1.26 lakh crore and aquaculture ₹1.12 lakh crore to the state’s Gross Value Added (GVA).

Highlighting global best practices, the Chief Minister cited Singapore’s success despite its smaller population and limited resources. He urged officials to fully leverage India’s vast resources and population, using AI and RTGS data analytics to improve administrative efficiency. Departments will be required to conduct quarterly progress reviews.

Chandrababu also directed that families be treated as single units for collecting financial and health data, ensuring that welfare schemes simultaneously enhance household incomes. Minister Payyavula Keshav, Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand, and senior officials attended the meeting.
