Actor Sumanth, who recently scored a hit with Anaganaga, engaged in an interactive session with director Sunny Sanjay where he responded to fan questions and shared insights about the film industry and popular Tollywood stars.
Addressing a question about whether actors from film families still need to audition, Sumanth said, “Having a film background makes entering the industry easier, but it only helps to a certain extent. Eventually, everyone has to audition. Some time ago, I auditioned for four or five Hindi projects but was rejected. I believe it was mainly because I am not fluent in Hindi.” He added that cinema is his entire world and that even if he hadn’t become an actor, he would have pursued a career related to films.
Speaking about Tollywood celebrities, Sumanth expressed admiration for several stars. He said he is eagerly waiting for Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2, recently met Mahesh Babu and is looking forward to SSMB 29, and is anticipating Nagarjuna’s 100th film. He described Venkatesh as his role model and shared that he called NTR after watching Devara.
He described Rana as a sweet person with whom he frequently speaks and admitted feeling slightly envious of Vijay Deverakonda’s Arjun Reddy, calling it one of his favorite films. Sumanth praised Dulquer Salmaan as a good person who shares his passion for cars, lauded director Rajamouli for making films that can surpass Hollywood standards, and mentioned his fondness for Puri Jagannadh’s podcast.
