Hyderabad” Telangana Jagruthi President and MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha has revealed plans to transform the organization into a new entity, focusing on leadership development and social change. Speaking at a leadership training session held in Kompally, Medchal-Malkajgiri district, Kavitha announced that Jumbo Committees would be established across the state on August 6 to mark the birth anniversary of Prof. Jayashankar. She emphasized that similar leadership programs would be organized in every district following the formation of these committees.
Kavitha stressed the importance of nurturing leadership qualities within individuals, stating that Telangana Jagruthi would serve as a platform to develop these traits for the betterment of society. She also emphasized the role of politics in effecting social change, reassuring those interested in entering politics that the organization would offer support, regardless of their background. Furthermore, Kavitha addressed the media’s influence, remarking that individuals lacking substance often resort to insults to gain attention. However, she assured that Telangana Jagruthi’s approach would be sharp enough to challenge such narratives effectively.
In her address, Kavitha spoke about the organization’s commitment to producing leaders who embody the values of historical figures such as Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, and Martin Luther King. She pointed out that true leadership is not defined by appearances but by actions that benefit society. Kavitha also reaffirmed Telangana Jagruthi’s stance on key state projects, stating that the organization would continue to oppose harmful projects like the Banakacharla link project, just as it had opposed the Polavaram project in the past. She concluded by outlining the organization’s focus on safeguarding Telangana’s resources and culture while promoting youth, women, and marginalized leadership in the state’s future political landscape.
