In the wake of Salaar’s unprecedented success with pan-India star Prabhas, fans are waiting on the edge of their seats for the sequel. The original, directed by Prashanth Neel, broke a multitude of records and at the international box office, led to grossing more than, classifying it as one of the biggest hits to come out in years. Prithviraj Sukumaran, due to his performance in the crucial role as Varada Rajamannar, has also developed a huge fan base in Telugu cinema.
With Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam making waves, Prithviraj recently opened up about the movie during the promotion of his other venture, Sarzameen. He said that the sequel would be even larger and more sensational than the first, and the bar would be taken even higher. He was also thrilled to work with Prabhas again and is looking forward to the energetic rivalry between the two on-screen. His words have only increased the fans’ anticipation, who are now keeping their fingers crossed for more updates.
Salaar 2 fans, however, will have to wait somewhat longer for the film to go into production. Prashanth Neel is currently occupied with working on a project with Jr. NTR, and only when this project is over will he start Salaar 2. Prabhas, on the other hand, has a bunch of big-ticket projects lined up, including Raja Saab and Fauji. Once those commitments are over, Prabhas will start work on Spirit with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who is scheduled to start by the end of September. Only then will Salaar 2 go on the cards.
As the production schedule goes on, the hype for the sequel just keeps building up, and fans are waiting in anticipation for the next installment of this action-packed saga.
