Sanjay Dutt Shifts Focus To South Films, Says ‘Angry At Lokesh’ In Viral Clip

Sanjay Dutt, a well-known actor in Bollywood, is coming close to being a common name in South Indian films. He has found a good amount of work in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada films over the last few years, compared to Bollywood productions, where he has been engaged in fairly strong antagonistic roles that appear to appeal to audiences of Southern cinema.

Dutt entered the Tamil industry with the highly spoken-about Leo featuring Thalapathy Vijay and entered the Telugu film industry recently with Double iSmart. Although both movies had huge pre-release hype, they bombed at the box office — Leo had a good run, while Double iSmart didn’t resonate with the audience.

During a recent public appearance, Sanjay Dutt delighted fans with his candid remarks about working with Thalapathy Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj. Speaking in a humorous tone, he said, “I absolutely love Vijay… but I’m really mad at Lokesh,” playfully adding that his screen time in Leo was limited. The fun exchange drew laughs and quickly made its way across social media, going viral among fans.

Interestingly, Sanjay Dutt does not have any ongoing Bollywood projects at present. Instead, he’s absolutely steeped in the South film industry and has already committed to doing a couple of Kannada films. With his increasing presence throughout South Indian cinema, Dutt appears to be developing an exhilarating new chapter in his acting career.
