AP Emerged As one of The Best performing state In creating Business- Friendly Environment

Andhra Pradesh has emerged as one of the best performing states in the country in terms of creating a business-friendly environment. In the rankings prepared by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) for the period 2025-29, it has secured the fourth position in the country with a score of 6.9. Delhi and Karnataka are also at the fourth position with similar ranks.

Telangana is at the seventh position with a rank of 6.8. Tamil Nadu is at the first position with a rank of 7.4 and Gujarat is at the second position with a rank of 7.3. Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal and Bihar are at the bottom. EIU is a research and analysis arm working under The Economist Group. It provides five-year economic forecasts, industrial reports, analyses, advice and services.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu mentioned in the cabinet meeting that the industrial policy, ease of trade policies and infrastructure development brought by the coalition government have led Andhra Pradesh towards rapid development. He hoped that Andhra Pradesh would reach the first position in the coming days with better performance.

It is known that the state is taking steps towards industrial progress under the rule of the coalition government. Industries are also coming up in the border area. Steps have been taken to develop the Orvakallu Mega Industrial Hub at a cost of Rs. 2786.10 crore. Tenders have already been called for the development work to be undertaken on 2624.64 acres.

The AP government has signed an agreement with the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust (NICDIT) to carry out the work. As part of the first phase of work, development work will be started on 517 acres in the industrial estate.

On the other hand, the government has allocated 77 acres for the establishment of a textile park at Banavasi Farm with the aim of providing employment to workers in Chenethapuri. An industrialist has come forward to invest Rs. 20 crore. Industries will be established on 25 acres and employment will be provided.

It is known that agreements have been signed for the construction of solar and wind power projects with a capacity of 1680 MW in the Aluru and Mantralayam constituencies. Once their construction is completed, many people in the area will get employment opportunities. In addition, many companies will develop the surrounding areas with corporate social responsibility funds.
