He lashed out at the former Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy for not changing his stance even after joining the opposition and saying that his tours are all about taking people’s lives.
Speaking at a coordination meeting held with TDP urban constituency workers and leaders in Nellore, he said that even after being in the opposition, former Chief Minister Jagan Reddy has not changed and is still roaming around in helicopters. “We cannot do mass mobilization. People should not be inconvenienced because of us. If the activist’s car fell down, at least they did not get out and look. If they had got out and looked, he would have survived. The victim’s family did not even bring the mother and make her sit down. Did they even give her a glass of water?”, he asked.
He deplored that even if their own activist died, they stood up and patted both shoulders and left. Lokesh advised the TDP activists to take the YCP’s approach to the people. He criticized them for promoting the blade batch and the ganja batch. He reminded them that they tied ropes to the gate of Chandrababu, when he was in the opposition.
He said that anyone has the right to roam in a democracy. But he expressed anger that if they roam, they are killing people. If they follow the rules, he warned that there would be counter- attacks. The minister said that the Telugu Desam Party is a heartbeat activist. He said that they stood by the party during difficult times. He said that the struggle of the workers should not be ignored.
