Kajal Aggarwal to Play Mandodari in Grand Ramayana Epic

Tollywood’s popular star Kajal Aggarwal is coming back big with the highly awaited epic Ramayana. Since her previous full-length character in Satyabhama, which failed to impress at the box office, Kajal recently received appreciation for playing Parvati Devi in Manchu Vishnu’s Kannappa.

Now, she has formally announced her role in the esteemed Ramayana project directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra. Now, Kajal has formally announced her role in the esteemed Ramayana movie. Even though it was reported that she would act in the role of Mandodari, there was no confirmed report until the makers dropped a new teaser of the film that Kajal posted to declare her part in it.

Kajal expressed her sentimental pride in belonging to a tale that has touched generations and warmly invited the audience to experience this majestic retelling of the eternal war between Lord Rama and Ravana. She thanked her fans and called Ramayana a powerful representation of our history, heritage, and culture.

Ranbir Kapoor plays the title character Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi plays Sita, and Yash plays Ravana, while Kajal replaces Mandodari, queen of Ravana. Directed by this ambitious venture of two parts, the first part will be released for Diwali 2026 while the second one will be out for Diwali 2027.

With Kajal Aggarwal back in such a big-ticket project, Ramayana is destined to be a treat to the eyes and capture the attention of viewers worldwide; promising mythological grandeur coupled with an engaging narrative. Audiences won’t be able to wait as this classic epic prepares to dazzle viewers on the big screen, assured it will be a landmark in Indian filmmaking.
