With Pushpa 2 expected to create waves at the pan-India box office, the spotlight has now shifted to Allu Arjun’s next big move. While fans were eagerly waiting for his fantasy collaboration with Trivikram Srinivas, reports now suggest that project has been rerouted to Jr NTR — leaving Bunny’s future lineup wide open and hotly debated.
Adding to the excitement, producer Dil Raju recently sparked fresh speculation during promotional rounds for his upcoming film Thammudu. In a subtle but noticeable hint, he referenced a massive pan-world project titled Ravanam, rumored to star Allu Arjun and directed by Prashanth Neel. Though Raju didn’t confirm the news, he didn’t deny it either — and that silence has only amplified the buzz in fan circles.
If Ravanam is actually in the works, it may be a while before it goes on floors. Director Prashanth Neel is already working on Dragon with Jr NTR, an action-packed film that may keep him busy until mid or end of 2026. Due to this, Ravanam might only start production sometime in 2027.
Interestingly, Dil Raju has previously spoken about working with Prashanth Neel, but has always kept the lead actor’s name under wraps. This time was no different — yet his refusal to rule out Allu Arjun’s involvement is being seen as a major hint.
Industry insiders suggest Ravanam could be a mythology-inspired action drama blended with fantasy — a genre rarely explored at this scale in Indian cinema. If it comes together, it would mark a bold shift for both Allu Arjun and Dil Raju.
Over the past few years, Dil Raju has been relatively selective with his projects. But now, the veteran producer seems ready to shift gears. Apart from the long-delayed Game Changer, he’s already teased a high-octane venture with Vijay Deverakonda titled Rowdy Janardhan, signaling his intent to return to big-banner filmmaking.
On the other hand, Allu Arjun is already occupied with a highly anticipated film with Atlee, which will at least take 18 months to finish. Sources indicate that the makers want to release it on Sankranti 2027. What’s next — whether Bunny gets started on Ravanam or goes for something else — the wait has to be seen. But if schedules work out, this joint venture with Prashanth Neel might very well be one of the largest movie events of 2027.
