YSRCP Leader Chevireddy Non-cooperative During SIT custody In AP Liquor Scam

YSRCP key leader and former MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy (A-38) and his close aide Venkatesh Naidu (A-34), who are key accused in the AP liquor scam and have been taken into police custody for three days, are said to be not cooperating with the SIT investigation. The SIT officials interrogated them for about 8 hours on the first day, Tuesday.

The officials who interrogated both of them separately asked more than 100 questions to each of them. It is known that Chevireddy  acted in a threatening and coercive manner. He rushed away shouting that a false case had been filed against him without answering the questions of the SIT officials.

The questions posed before them include, on whose orders did Raj KC Reddy hand over the liquor bribe money to you? How many hundreds of crores of rupees did you receive from them? Who gave the bribe money to whom, how much and when?

Who was the ‘invisible’ force that directed you to add this bribe money to the YSRCP candidates who contested in the last general elections?  Why did you repeatedly go to the Landmark Apartment in Tadepalli, where the liquor bribe money was stored (cash stock point)?

It is learnt that Chevireddy replied that he had never gone to that apartment. When asked about the technical evidence confirming that he had repeatedly gone to that apartment from June 2023 to February 2024, he said, ‘There were important leaders of our party on that route. We used to go there often in this order. How can you say that I went there?’

They questioned him that on May 9th, during the general elections, who are you taking the Rs. 8.36 crore liquor bribe money seized at the Garikapadu check post to hand over to? He replied that he had no connection with that money.

If there is no connection, why are your then gunmen Giridhar and PA Naveen following that lorry? But Chevireddy remained silent when asked why he called gunman Giri immediately after the money was seized and ordered him to switch off his phones and flee.

When SIT officials were taking him out of Vijayawada district jail on Tuesday morning for three days of custody, Chevireddy shouted loudly, “A false case has been filed against me. I have been unjustly imprisoned. There are great directors like Rajamouli and Sukumar in the SIT. There are great actors. God will punish everyone who has filed cases against me. Nature will not leave you” and cursed the SIT officials.
