Actor Sagar, best known for his iconic role as ACP RK Naidu in the hit television series Mogalirekulu, is set to make a strong comeback on the big screen with the upcoming film The 100. Directed by Raghav Omkar Sasidhar and produced by Ramesh Karutoori, Venky Pushadapu, and J. Tarak Ram, the film is slated for a theatrical release on July 11.
Powerful cop roles have long demanded a distinct screen presence and commanding body language—traits few actors have convincingly portrayed. In the South Indian film industry, Vijayakanth (Tamil), Suresh Gopi (Malayalam), and Rajasekhar (Telugu) have been celebrated for such roles. In recent times, Adivi Sesh, Ram, Sree Vishnu, and Nani (in HIT 3) have added their own interpretations to the archetype.
Though Sagar has played a police officer before, The 100 promises to present him in a more intense and layered avatar. With strong belief in the film’s unique concept, director Raghav stated that the story will deeply resonate with audiences. The makers are confident that The 100 will establish Sagar’s identity in mainstream cinema, much like his enduring television legacy.
