The BJP state leadership’s factionalism was once again exposed at the BJP’s Rythu Maha Sammelan organized by the BJP in Nizamabad on Sunday on the occasion of the inauguration of the National Turmeric Board’s central office with Union Home Minister Amit Shah as the chief guest.
Nizamabad MP D Aravind is also one of the strong contestants for the BJP state president position, for which the election is now gong on. In this context, there is a campaign that Amit Shah was brought in to enhance his image. That is why key leaders in the state BJP have also refused to cooperate with this program.
There is a campaign that the BJP state leadership, unable to digest the growth of Arvind Dharmapuri’s image as a leader who achieved the Turmeric Board, tried in every possible way to make this program a failure. Arvind himself invited all his fellow MPs as well as 8 party MLAs, but the state leadership told them not to come, saying that this program did not have permission. But, it secretly invited some of them.
It acted in a way that raised suspicions and misconceptions among BJP MPs and MLAs. It did not provide any help in mobilizing the people or in organizational arrangements from the party’s perspective, but rather created obstacles. While Telangana farmers and people are celebrating the turmeric festival, the state BJP is acting like an omen.
Induru BJP workers are expressing strong protest and anger. In fact, the National Turmeric Board office was inaugurated six months ago by Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal. But now, on the occasion of former PCC President D Srinivas’s first death anniversary on Sunday, many are expressing surprise at Amit Shah’s inauguration of the same National Turmeric Board under the name of a temporary office.
On the other hand, only a small number of people came to the Kisan Sammelan addressed by Amit Shah at the Polytechnic grounds. The chairs placed at the back were seen empty. Moreover, criticism is being raised that the Turmeric Board will not have any benefits without providing a minimum support price for turmeric.
Was Amit Shah invited by misleading people? There is a campaign going on. Moreover, there are different voices in the BJP and Congress parties over Amit Shah unveiling the statue of D Srinivas, who worked against BJP politics throughout his life. No one from the Congress came to the statue unveiling. Finally, even DS’s eldest son, former mayor and Congress leader Dharmapuri Sanjay did not attend.
