Meanwhile, Suriya is focusing on his upcoming projects after receiving mixed responses for his recent films Kanguva and Retro. He is currently working on a family drama directed by Venky Atluri, under the banner of Sithara Entertainments, with Suryadevara Naga Vamsi producing and Mamitha Baiju in the lead role. The director revealed that the film will feature a range of emotions and hinted that the protagonist may carry shades of the character Sanjay Ramaswamy from Ghajini. Suriya is also set to appear in Karuppu, directed by RJ Balaji.
