Vishnu Manchu Opens Up About Choosing A Bollywood Director For Kannappa

Vishnu Manchu’s much-awaited dream film Kannappa has finally released and is getting a thunderous response at the box office. In gratitude to fans and well-wishers for their encouragement, Vishnu along with his team recently organized a warm “Thanks Meet” event.

The event was attended by prominent members of the crew, such as Vishnu Manchu himself, veteran actor Mohan Babu, and director Mukesh Kumar Singh. In the course of the media interaction, there was one question that generated much attention — why did Vishnu choose a Bollywood director as opposed to a Tollywood director?

Replying honestly, Vishnu explained, “I went to a number of directors in Tollywood, but none were interested in undertaking a story like Kannappa with me. That’s when I thought of searching elsewhere and came across Mukesh Kumar Singh, who had worked on the epic show Mahabharat and impressed me with his work. His background and creative input matched just what we wanted for this movie.”

Vishnu also divulged that Mukesh’s take on the film exceeded their expectations. “His vision was much bigger than what we had envisioned. You will realize what I mean when you see the film,” he stated.

Ending the function, Vishnu thanked the audience for accepting Kannappa and making it a hit. He hoped that the film would continue to win people’s hearts across regions.
