The trailer of the upcoming Tamil film Oho Endhan Baby, featuring Rudra and Mithila Palkar in lead roles, was officially launched in Chennai ahead of the film’s theatrical release on July 11. Directed by Krishnakumar, the film marks a significant debut for Rudra, who is the cousin of actor-producer Vishnu Vishal.
Addressing the event, Vishnu Vishal spoke about his personal connection to the project, revealing that Rudra is the son of his paternal uncle. He noted that despite coming from a modest background, both his father and uncle shared a strong passion for cinema. “My uncle, though uneducated, worked hard to support my father’s education and helped him become an IPS officer. That spirit of responsibility has naturally passed on to Rudra,” he said.
Actor Karthi, who attended the launch, praised the real-life bond between the family members, comparing it to the narrative of the film Vanathai Pola. “Initially, I thought such stories existed only in cinema, but Vishnu’s account proves otherwise. Having an elder brother is a unique privilege, and I feel fortunate to share that sentiment,” he said. The event was attended by several film industry figures.
