Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has directed that skill training should be given as the main agenda to create 20 lakh jobs. Conducting a review on the Skill Development Department, he said that new courses are needed to suit modern technology. He instructed the officials to organize job fairs across the state.
He instructed us to use artificial intelligence to find out where the job opportunities are in the state, the country and the world and include them in the skill portal. He said that the portal should be designed so that the youth can also register their details in the skill portal and their resumes will be automatically generated.
CM Chandrababu said that an agreement of 9.5 lakh crores has already been signed in the state for investments, through which 8.5 lakh people will get jobs. He believed that by assessing the skills of students who have done IT courses, it would be possible to identify the needs of the respective organizations and provide skilled human resources immediately.
Officials have already informed the Chief Minister about the details of the skill census that has been undertaken as a pilot project in Mangalagiri constituency. The youth of the state should be provided with skills in accordance with the Swarnandhra-2047 Vision plans. He suggested that focus should be placed on issues related to skill development from class 6 to post-graduation.
Chandrababu said that the youth should be given skills keeping in mind the next ten years. He suggested that industries should be linked with educational institutions and action should be taken on skill training and certification issues.
The Chief Minister clarified that skill development training standards should be ensured through the National Skill Credit Framework. He directed that the Academic Bank of Credits should be linked with Aadhaar and Apar IDs.
IT Minister Nara Lokesh said that after the coalition government came to power, 1,164 job fairs were organized across the state in 175 constituencies and 61,991 people have got jobs so far. He said that 74,834 people trained through the State Skill Development Organization have got placements.
Officials clarified that the skill portal will provide details on registrations, training, certification, placements, as well as industry linkages and training in foreign languages. The CM has ordered job fairs to be held in each constituency this year to provide at least 1,500 jobs.
