Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced that additional incentives will be given to industries and projects that have invested in backward areas of the state. The CM clarified that skill development for the youth should also be a major issue. He stated that the goal of the coalition government is to decentralize the development of industries in all areas.
The 7th State Level Investment Promotion Board meeting was held at the Secretariat under the chairmanship of CM Chandrababu Naidu. In this meeting, SIPB approved projects worth Rs 28,546 crores for a total of 19 projects. These investments will provide job and employment opportunities to 30,270 people.
In the 7 SIPB meetings held so far, investments worth Rs 5,34,684 crores have been approved. Thus, 4,73,969 people will get job opportunities. CM Chandrababu Naidu said that if industries are established, the respective areas will also develop, providing employment to the locals and thereby increasing wealth everywhere.
The major investments approved include Raymond Rs 1,201 crore, which will create jobs for 6,571 people, In Anantapur, G.Infra Precisions Rs 1,150 crore, creating 299 jobs, in Visakhapatnam, Cognizant Technology Solutions Rs 1,583 crore, creating 8,000 jobs, in Orvakallu, Reliance Consumer Products Rs 1,622 crore, creating jobs for 1,200 people, in Kadapa, Adani Renewable Energy Rs 8,010 crore, creating jobs for 3,500 people and Adani Hydro Energy Rs. 10,900 crore in various districts of the state, creating 7,000 jobs.
He clarified that in the industrial projects being set up in the state, more jobs should be provided to the locals, and for that, skill development for the youth should also be a major issue. It was revealed that plans are being made to ensure that investments coming to the state are equally distributed in all areas.
The Chief Minister suggested that MASME parks be set up in all constituencies across the state and that opportunities be provided to aspiring entrepreneurs under the One Family-One Entrepreneur scheme. The CM ordered that details of industries, projects, investments and jobs to be created in the state be included in the online portal.
He said that projects like boat tourism should be set up at Papikondalu along with the Polavaram project. He directed the officials to discuss with the respective organizations to operate luxury boats and cruise ships in Visakhapatnam as well as other coastal areas of the state. From now on, the CM suggested that at least 25 SIPB meetings should be held every year, two every month.
