Police Registered A case Against Former YSRCP Minister Ambati Rambabu For Misbehaving with police

The Sattenapalli Rural Police have registered a case against YSRCP leader and former minister Ambati Rambabu alleging misbehaved with the police and also obstructed them from performing their duties, during the former Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s Rentapalla tour on Wednesday.

Ambati got into an argument with the police in Kantepudi and insisted on being allowed to go with his convoy. He pushed the police who told him that it was against the rules and the former minister created a ruckus by removing barricades near Kantepudi in Sattenapalli mandal.   It is also reported that a constable who was there while removing Ambati’s barricades was injured.

In this context, a case has been registered against him at the Sattenapalli Rural Police Station. A case has been registered under sections 188, 332, 353, and 427 of the IPC. Along with Ambati, his brother also misbehaved with the police and threw down the barricades. Similarly, cases have been registered for violation of rules during Jagan’s tour.

The police have received complaints that he violated traffic rules and caused damage to people’s properties. Responding to this, the Sattenapalli town police registered cases against Sattenapalli YSRCP in-charge Gajjala Sudhir Bhargav Reddy, former Narasaraopet MLA Gopireddy Srinivas Reddy and some others for disrupting peace and order.

On the other hand, the police handcuffed a YSRCP activist who displayed controversial placards during Jagan’s visit. During his visit to Rentapalla, the party ranks participated in a large-scale rally violating the rules. They showed force to intimidate the people. Some activists displayed placards to incite tension.

Sattenapalli TDP leaders and Telugu women complained to the police about this. To this extent, YSRCP activist Ravi Teja from 88 Tallur village was arrested. He is being questioned at the Nekarikallu police station.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy visited Rentapalla in Sattenapalli mandal to unveil the statue of YSRCP activist Nagamalleshwara Rao there. His rally went through Guntur, Nallapadu, Medikondur and Palnadu district. People on the routes he took experienced hell due to the rush of leaders and activists. Those traveling on those routes faced difficulties for hours.

Although the police took many precautions in advance, the actions of the YSRCP mob were of no use. They ignored the police warnings and acted arbitrarily. They became even more agitated when the leaders who were supposed to control the ranks provoked them.
