Anupama Thanks Critics and Fans Alike

Actress Anupama Parameswaran has extended her gratitude not only to her fans but also to her critics, as she gears up for the release of her upcoming film Janaki vs State of Kerala. Speaking during the film’s promotional campaign, Anupama reflected on her early career struggles, recalling the intense criticism and trolling she faced, particularly claims that she lacked acting skills. She thanked director Praveen Narayan for trusting her talent and casting her in what she described as one of the most significant roles of her career.

Anupama noted that although she has acted in several Telugu films, she received fewer opportunities in Malayalam cinema. She expressed confidence that this courtroom thriller would help her reconnect with the Malayalam audience. She also revealed that the COVID-19 pandemic was a particularly challenging period for her both personally and professionally. Calling the opportunity to play Janaki a milestone, she said, “Being trusted with this role is a success in itself. I thank both those who supported me and those who criticized me.” Janaki vs State of Kerala, co-starring Suresh Gopi as a lawyer, is set for release on June 27 and carries the tagline, “Truth Always Prevails.”
