TDP Decline Admission To Vasireddy Padma, only option Left To Her Is BJP

The coalition parties, which have shown interest to invite YSRCP leaders after last year’s elections, are now said to be not showing interest towards them fearing that may ignite internal complications in their own parties. This has almost stopped migration of YSRCP leaders into coalition parties.

Leaders who left YSRCP are not finding it easy to enter the alliance. Former YSRCP minister and close relative of former chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, Balineni Srinivas Reddy, who had joined Jana Sena creating a big uproar within TDP ranks in Prakasam district, is now practically forced to be silent.

He was said to have joined Jana Sena with a promise of getting MLC seat and also subsequently cabinet berth. However, due to strong opposition to him from TDP cadres of Prakasam district, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu succeeded in preventing of giving him promised position by suddenly sending Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’s elder brother Naga Babu to the Legislative Council.

YSRCP’s firebrand leader Vasireddy Padma also faced a similar situation, as she was practically denied entry into both Jana Sena and TDP. During Jaganmohan Reddy’s government, she was given a prominent role in attacking TDP and Jana Sana as party spokesperson and also subsequently as the chairperson of the AP Women’s Commission.

However, she became furious after the denial of Jaggayyapet assembly seat in the 2024 polls and left the party after its humiliating defeat. Moreover, she criticized Jaganmohan Reddy severely. Initially, there was a speculation that efforts were being made to get Vasireddy Padma to join Jana Sena. However, with Samineni Udayabhanu joining Jana Sena, Vasireddy Padma’s joining the party was stopped.

Later, she made efforts to join the TDP due to lack of opportunities in Jana Sena. For this, she held talks with Vijayawada MP Kesineni Chinni. Efforts were continued to enter the TDP through Chinni. It is said that Lokesh initially agreed after Chinna’s intervention.

However, it seems that Chief Minister Chandrababu did not agree. When Chandrababu conducted an opinion poll from the leaders of the joint Krishna district on the induction of Vasireddy Padma, there was opposition. With this, according to the party leaders, Chandrababu also said no.

With this, after a year of resigning from YSRCP, Vasireddy Padma is unable to get a party to join. Now, the only party left for her is BJP. But, due to her left leaning, it is to be seen how far she can adopt BJP’s core ideology? With this, it is yet to be clear what decision Padma will take politically.
