The TDP has decided to check indiscriminate admission of leaders from other parties into the party and made it clear they will be screened by the central office before admitting into the party. This was informed by the party Chief Chandrababu Naidu to the party units.
In a communication, the party stated that “As per the instructions of TDP National President Chandrababu Naidu, details of leaders of other parties must be informed to the central office before admitting them into the TDP. After the central office conducts a thorough investigation about them, they will be invited to the party with the party’s permission. All leaders in various positions in the TDP can observe this”.
It was decided that if anyone from other parties wants to join the TDP in all constituencies across the state, they must definitely inform the central office. It was clarified that joining the TDP will take place only after getting permission from there. After the coalition government came to power, many leaders from the YSRCP joined the TDP. Leaders from the village level to the state level have joined the ruling party.
However, Chandrababu himself commented at the Kadapa Mahanadu venue that some of them are coverts and assured that cadres will be given priority in the party. He said that those who have worked hard for the party will be recognized. He cautioned that “If you want to send coverts into the party, the games will not work. Migratory birds will come and eat them”.
He alerted in advance with suspicions that coverts were coming into the party. In this context, these latest instructions were issued. In many districts across the state, the old cadre is facing problems with the leaders who have joined the TDP from the YSRCP. Complaints have been received that priority is being given to those who have recently joined the YSRCP and not those who have carried the flags from the beginning.
It was also felt that there is a possibility of group war at the constituency level. Observing the recent developments, the TDP leadership has given clarity on the admissions into the party. It has been said that it is not allowed to admit anyone into the party without their knowledge. Chandrababu Naidu himself has ordered that from now on, anyone who is found guilty will not be allowed to be admitted into the party.
