Amid the ongoing confusion over theatre ownership issues and bandh calls in the two Telugu states, leading producers have begun issuing clarifications to counter allegations and public criticism.
Veteran producer Allu Aravind, in a recent press conference, stated that he owns only one theatre in Telangana and 15 in Andhra Pradesh. He also distanced himself from the alleged group referred to as “the four influential figures” within the film industry, denying any such association.
Joining the discourse, producer Dil Raju addressed the media and clarified that he owns just 30 theatres in Telangana. Out of the total 370 theatres in the state, he claimed that only 120 are under the collective control of himself, Asian Sunil, and Suresh Babu.
Dil Raju also responded to rumours regarding alleged interference in film releases, asserting, “No one has the power or courage to stop a Pawan Kalyan film.” He further stated that the dispute over theatre operations has been resolved.
He extended his gratitude to Andhra Pradesh Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh for his role in helping to settle the issue.
