BRS executive president KT Rama Rao’s meeting with his father and former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at the later’s farmhouse in Erravalli of Siddipet district on Sunday gained political significance in the wake of uproar over leakage of his sister and MLC Kavitha’s letter to her father.
Her critical views expressed in the letter over the functioning of the party, have been sending conflicting signals within the party. After the letter became the center of political controversy, this is the first meeting of KTR with his father.
it is reported that in this meeting, along with the issue of Kavitha, the Kaleshwaram Commission notices to KCR and the organization of state formation day programs were also discussed. It may be recalled that at the time of her returning from a USA visit, when the media persons asked her about the letter she accused that some coverts around her father were creating damage to the party.
She strongly commented that the release of an internally written letter is a conspiracy, and if a letter written to a leader is revealed, one should think about who is behind it. Reacting towards her comments at a media conference, KTR expressed displeasure over her sister Kavitha making open comments on internal matters of the party.
KTR said that there is nothing wrong with writing a letter to his party leader and there is democracy in his party, that letters can be written to make suggestions to the party leader. But, he advised that it is better to discuss internal matters internally. KTR said that there are coverts in all parties and when the time comes, they will come out on their own.
On the other hand, it is known that the Kaleshwaram Commission has given notices to KCR. It has been stated that KCR should appear for the inquiry on the 5th of next month, Harish Rao on the 6th of next month, and Etala Rajender on the 9th of next month. It is against this backdrop that it is reported that KCR and KTR met.
KTR will leave on the 28th of this month to participate in an event in the USA on June 1. In the meantime, he is likely to discuss with KCR to formulate a plan for organizing the state formation celebrations from the party’s perspective.
