Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has advised the ministers that no one should speak about the liquor scam investigation. He cautioned them that if they speak unnecessarily, it will go in a different direction. Referring to the liquor scam that took place during Jaganmohan Reddy’s tenure, he said that the SIT is conducting an impartial investigation and they should be allowed to do their job.
Cautioning them that if they talk about the liquor scam, it will be in a different direction, so he suggested that the investigating agencies be given a free hand. The CM made it clear that no one should speak after seeing the news in the newspapers about the liquor scam.
Chandrababu said that the next cabinet meeting will discuss the achievements made by the government on the occasion of the completion of a year and the sentiments of the people. He said that the prices of crops have come down this time and there is a need to monitor it. The CM questioned Minister Swamy about the postponement of the Vizag Deputy Mayor election. The CM asked him to ensure that this does not happen.
The issue of giving cash instead of ration was also discussed in the cabinet. The cabinet discussed the issue of tobacco farmers on black burley tobacco. The Chief Minister has included new ministers Gottipati Ravi and Nimmala Ramanaidu in the price determination committee.
On this occasion, BC Janardhan Reddy said that the traffic in Srisailam has increased significantly and it is in second place in terms of income. The Chief MInister said that the Srisailam area should be developed well. He wants to sit with the forest department officials and solve the problem. The CM revealed in the cabinet meeting that temple tourism should also be developed.
Expressing his displeasure that many revenue problems are not being solved, CM Chandrababu directed that a report be submitted every three months on how many problems have been solved. It was decided that the `Ammaku Vandanam’ program should be given in the month of June, on the day when the school resumes.
He said that there should be a university for every district. He said that Ambedkar Open University should be established in Eluru and Telugu University in Rajahmundry. He said that Annadata Sukhibhav should be initiated together with the central government. He ordered that it should be started whenever the center released funds.
