Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced that Kaleshwara Kshetra will be developed with Rs. 200 crore. On Thursday, he participated in the Saraswati Pushkaram program at Kaleshwara Kshetra in Triveni Sangam. On this occasion, he unveiled a newly built 17-foot monolithic statue of Goddess Saraswati at Triveni Sangam.
Later, he performed a holy bath at the Sangam along with Ministers Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar, Konda Surekha, and Duddilla Sridhar Babu. Later, upon reaching the Kaleshwara Mukteshwara Swamy temple, the temple priests welcomed them with a full kumbh. They visited the temple and performed special pujas to the Swamy.
Later, speaking at a meeting organized at Saraswati Ghat, the CM said that the government’s goal is to preserve the culture and traditions of the people of Telangana and pass them on to future generations. He appreciated that magnificent arrangements have been made for the devotees coming to Pushkarams under the leadership of Smt. Shailaja Ramaiyar, Principal Secretary of the Endowment Department, with the help of the district administration.
He said that we see that our people consider temples and rivers as deities and he feels fortunate that the Godavari, Krishna, Pranahita, Sammakka Sarakka Jatara will be held during his tenure in the next three years. He said that this Saraswati Pushkara is being organized on a grand scale as a foundation for them.
He promised Minister Sridhar Babu to develop Kaleshwara as a tourist center and an ideal place as requested by him. He recalled that the Manthani region has a history, PV Narasimha Rao, who brought economic reforms and kept the country’s economy at the forefront, was from this region.
Revanth Reddy said that later Sripada Rao, who took his place as the Speaker, contributed to the development of Manthani region, and Sridhar Babu, as the third successor, is continuously working for the development of not only Manthani region but also the state. He said that he is working with the aim of creating one lakh jobs for the youth by bringing investments from many countries and strengthening the economy.
He said that the presence of Triveni Sangam in Kaleshwaram should be considered a gift of nature. He said that a master plan will be prepared for the arrangements of Godavari Pushkaralu and funds will be sanctioned from the Green Channel.
