Bollywood’s latest release, ‘Kesari Chapter 2,’ continues its successful theatrical run and has earned both critical and commercial acclaim alike. Starring Akshay Kumar, R. Madhavan, Ananya Pandey in lead roles, this historical courtroom drama was released in theaters on April 18, 2025. Nearly a month after its release now, the makers are bringing it to Telugu audiences and have officially announced the release date.
In a recent announcement, Asian Suresh Entertainment confirmed that the Telugu-dubbed version of Kesari 2 will be released on May 23, 2025. They have made this announcement on their social media handles, along with a new poster unveiling the release date. The promotional activities for the Telugu version are expected to kick off shortly.
Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, Kesari Chapter 2 is about the untold story of Jallianwala Bagh based on the book The Case That Shook The Empire. Akshay Kumar portrays the lead role of Chettun Sankaran Nair, the lawyer who courageously stood against the British colonial rule in court to expose the horrors of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in 1919.
Backed by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective, and Cape of Good Films, the film has already collected ₹87 crores at the box office and is nearing the ₹90 crore mark. With its upcoming Telugu release, anticipation is high to see how Telugu audiences will receive this gripping historical courtroom drama.
