Pawan Kalyan To Donate His salary on Development of Pithapuram constituency

Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan announced that he will spend his salary as Deputy Chief Minister on the development of the Pithapuram constituency, where he won with a huge majority. On Friday, at his camp office in Mangalagiri, Pawan Kalyan will give Rs. 5,000 per month from his salary to each of the 42 orphan children of Pithapuram constituency.

To this extent, Rs. 2,10,000 has been provided as financial assistance from the salary received so far. He announced that the remaining amount of the salary will also be spent on their welfare. Pawan Kalyan said that the people of Pithapuram constituency have made him an MLA with great trust and that it is his responsibility to solve the problems along with the development of the constituency in accordance with their aspirations.

He personally distributed the assistance to the 32 people who were available on Friday. He said that the remaining 10 people would be provided with that amount through the district administration. Arrangements were made to provide this assistance at their homes every month.

Speaking on the occasion, he said, “Keeping in mind the financial situation of the state, I decided not to take a salary after being elected as a legislator. I took the salary with the feeling of being accountable to the people”. He made it clear that the entire salary he receives for the duration of his tenure will be used for the welfare of those children.

“I wanted to spend the amount taken in the form of salary for the future of the children who are far away from my parents in the Pithapuram constituency, where I won. I will use the entire salary for the welfare of orphaned children as long as I am in the government and in office” he added.

Panchayat Raj Rural Development Commissioner Mailavarapu Krishna Teja, Kakinada District Collector Shanmohan Sagili, PADA Project Director Chaitra Varshini and others participated in the program.
