Renowned filmmaker Puri Jagannadh, known for his engaging ‘Puri Musings,’ recently shared intriguing details about the lesser-known European country of Liechtenstein. The director took to social media to educate his followers about the unique characteristics of this tiny nation.
In his post, Puri described Liechtenstein as a small yet captivating country, spanning just 160 square kilometers, with a population under 40,000. “You can drive around the entire country in just 30 minutes. It’s smaller than many airports, located between Switzerland and Austria, and ruled by a prince,” he explained.
Noting the country’s pristine security and low crime rate, Puri highlighted how residents leave their homes unlocked due to the community’s close-knit nature. “Everyone knows each other, and there is no crime rate. Many people establish companies there for tax benefits,” he added.
Puri also shared interesting facts about Liechtenstein’s national holidays. “On their National Day, August 15, the citizens wear traditional attire. You can even rent the entire country for a day for \$70,000, where you’ll be treated like royalty, complete with personalized street signs and even fake currency with your photo,” he mentioned.
