Agniveer Jawan Murali Nayak (24) from Kallithanda in Gorantla mandal of Sri Sathya Sai district of AP has died a martyr’s death, after killing five infiltrators in an encounter took place on Thursday night. He is the only child of Sriram Nayak and Jyotibai. With the death of Jawan Murali Nayak, his family members and relatives were filled with tears at his house in Kallithanda.
Murali Nayak was selected for Agniveer for the first time in October 2022. He was posted in Nashik, Maharashtra. While currently serving on the Jammu and Kashmir border, Murali Nayak died a martyr’s death in the encounter that took place there.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that it is sad that a soldier named Murali Nayak from Gorantla mandal of Penukonda assembly constituency of Sri Sathya Sai district lost his life in the defense of the country. He paid tribute to the martyr Murali Nayak who sacrificed his life for the country. The CM expressed his deep condolences to his family members.
CM Chandrababu spoke to Murali Nayak’s parents over the phone and consoled them. The Chief Minister said that the entire country will remember the sacrifice of Murali who sacrificed his life for the motherland. The CM said that the state government will stand by the family of Murali, who died for the country at the age of 25. The Chief Minister asked them to be brave, even though the grief of the parents of Veerjawan Murali is unbearable.
State BC Welfare Minister Savita consoled the family members after the death of Murali Nayak. She handed over a cheque of Rs. 5 lakh to the jawan’s parents from her own funds. Later, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu consoled the jawan’s parents over the phone.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Savita said that the mortal remains of Jawan Murali Naik will reach the village on Saturday afternoon. The last rites will be performed with full state honours. The statue of the jawan will be installed soon to inspire the youth.
Minister Nara Lokesh said that he was deeply saddened by the martyrdom of Murali Naik while fighting in the battlefield of Jammu and Kashmir as part of Operation Sindoor. He said that the bravery and courage shown by Murali Naik is a matter of pride for the state. He assured that he will support Murali Naik’s family in every way.
