Following the disappointing performance of Robinhood, actor Nithiin is banking on his next movie Thammudu. Directed by Venu Sriram, who has a reputation for churning out hits like Oh My Friend, MCA, and Vakeel Saab, the movie has been generating a huge buzz among film enthusiasts.
Although the shoot was completed months ago, Thammudu has witnessed several delays, with the release being rescheduled numerous times. Originally announced for a February release, the film’s entry was delayed, with fans eagerly awaiting news.
At last, on director Venu Sriram’s birthday, the crew stunned everyone with an offbeat promo video to shatter the suspense. In the film, lead actresses Varsha Bollamma, Sapthami Gowda, Laya, and Swasika walk up to Venu Sriram one by one—not to wish him a happy birthday, but to sternly ask, “When is the release? ” before turning away. Just when the director is discouraged, producers Dil Raju and Sirish intervene, asking him to cut a cake.
The cake announces the big news: Thammudu will release on July 4th.
