Bringing Retired AP IAS Srinivasa Raju Into CMO creating Huge Uproar In Telangana

With the appointment of KV Srinivasa Raju, a AP cadre IAS officer who took VRS from AP, as the Principal Secretary of the Chief Minister’s Office, is creating apprehensions among Congress leaders that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy running the Telangana state administration with the eyes of the neighboring state’s Chief Minister?

Are retired IAS officers from Andhra being strategically inserted into key posts in Telangana with foresight? Has the Telangana CMO completely gone into the hands of that officer? Will Telangana’s future decisions be finalized in Amaravati from now on? Criticism is also rife saying that.

Srinivasa Raju is not only known to be close to the TDP, but there was also a speculation that he had tried to contest as a TDP candidate in the last elections. The various recent appointments of  Revanth Reddy are also strengthening this.

Adityanath Das, an IAS officer who fought on behalf of AP for the share of Krishna and Godavari river waters after bifurcation of the state, has been appointed as the advisor to the Telangana Irrigation Department.

There are allegations that Adityanath Das’ strategy was the reason why only 299 TMC of Krishna water comes under Telangana’s share, which has 68.5 percent of the Krishna basin, and 512 TMC of water to Andhra, which has only 31.5 percent of the basin.

Now, concerns are being expressed about entrusting him with the responsibility of Telangana waters. It was also speculated at the time that he was the one who came up with the idea of merging the 7 Mandals of the Godavari basin into Andhra Pradesh.

Moreover, former AP High Court judge Dr. Sivashankar Rao has been appointed as the chairman of the Telangana Police Complaint Authority. His hometown is Sakurru village in Amalapuram mandal of East Godavari district. Justice Sambasiva Rao from AP has been appointed as the Chairman of the State Pollution Control Board (PCB) Appellate Authority.

Dr. B Kishore, a retired IAS officer with Andhra roots, has been appointed as a member of the State Human Rights Commission. There are criticisms that with all the key positions filled with Andhra officials, the Telangana government’s livelihood, benefits, secrets of schemes and government policies have been placed in the hands of Andhra rulers.
