Nadendla Manohar Blasts YSRCP for Failing Farmers

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar has criticized former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, claiming that his government never showed genuine concern for the welfare of farmers. In a statement on social media, Manohar highlighted the NDA government’s efforts to clear the pending dues left by the previous YSRCP administration, emphasizing that it has prioritized the payment of ₹1,674 crore in arrears owed to farmers.

Nadendla Manohar affirmed that the NDA government has always given utmost importance to farmers’ welfare and the timely disbursement of payments. “Our government aims to stand financially by the farmers and ensure they receive timely payments,” he stated.

Further elaborating on the government’s commitment to supporting farmers, the minister pointed out that during the Kharif season, the government procured 35.94 lakh metric tonnes of paddy from 5.65 lakh farmers across the state, with ₹8,277.59 crore being directly credited to their bank accounts within 24 hours.

He also praised the government’s swift actions in the ongoing Rabi season, with 12.38 lakh metric tonnes of paddy being procured from 1,16,627 farmers, and ₹2,722.81 crore being transferred to their accounts in just 24 hours.

The minister emphasized that the government’s quick payment process reflects its intent to provide immediate support to farmers for their hard work. He reiterated that the core agenda of the NDA government is to support farmers and work toward their welfare.

Manohar also shared infographics on social media, detailing the procurement and payment figures as evidence of the government’s efforts to assist farmers.
